Under the bridge, on the bridge, i could care less.
And, i was merely expressing my dissatisfaction that my mesmer build is now worse then better.
So, i'll go cry a river for under that bridge now

You complain about recharge times increasing. Read fast casting.

It's good against those pesky Stone Summit minion masters if you're in a caster group.

That's the problem though, you now need atleast 11 in FC just to counteract the nerfs to those energy recovery spells that were already weaksauce to begin with ever since they were nerfed years ago when Monks were "abusing" them in PvP. So figure it out: ...they've been nerfed twice b/c other classes that already had better energy management options were the ones abusing them. It's needlessly punitive to the mesmer's specific use of those skills and basically just 'Boons' them since there's much better options to exploit like Lyssa's aura, BloodRit heroes or BiP support, and exploiting the signets in another class's primary attribute as was already mentioned in this thread.

So even in NM Panic is the defining mesmer skill imo.
(but i like being a sig spammer more)
EDIT: At the above poster, take some tissues and go back under your bridge, you are an affront to the eyes of the fabulous mesmers.

Interesting note about Panic, so the more you can stack it, the more brutal it becomes it seems. I do wonder what could synergize well with Panic.

soo...
or 1...8 seconds, target foe and all nearby foes are hexed with Panic. When a foe hexed with Panic successfully uses a skill, all other nearby foes are interrupted.
stacking wut? it already hexes everyone nearby..and with a seconds agro management you have them balled into that range. unless your bad..

Currently using Mind Wrack, Panic, Eburn, Empathy, Unnatural Signet, Pdrain, Drain Enchantment and EVAS, 12-10-8 dom-FC-insp + runes, and thoroughly enjoying it. Energy's v tight if there's no enchantments to be drained, though, so I think it needs more work.
I've experimented with a multi-attribute Symbolic Keystone build but I think Lishy's Symbolic SoS is a better idea; it definitely didn't feel as powerful as the Panic one. Gwen's running a similar build to the Panic one but with PI as elite.
Really, really pleased with the update; so far I haven't missed FCing secondary profession skills at all.

Reason: Because Esurge and Eburn aren't the same skill...

Its likely Burn, not Surge..(yes im implying its a non-intentional typo :P)
been running a keystone sig bar for tests and its pretty lulzy..(but much room for improvement btw :P fun and pretty viable tho not top tier imo.)
FC & dom
Keystone Sig
Symbolic celerity
Wastrels worry
Unnatural sig
Cry of frustration
Sig of clumsiness
optional
optional
Keystone>Unnatural sig>cry of frustration* is a nice** combo. And the Aoe is quite a giggle too from each sig cast. A little agro management to ball up a bit never uhrt btw Optionals been monk sigs + soh, sin sigs ect
So far, panic, psy insta, mindwrack, keystone(+symba celerity) esurge, inept and chaos storm are pretty ok from first impressions prob missed some of the fun ones
*insert interrupt sig here
** fun =/= great necessarily btw

I think the update is just fine for pve but it does feel op in pvp. Im used to rupting and shutdown while the rest of the team deals the dmg. I dont need much help from the team for dmg now. To easy to solo other casters, monks got to hate this update in pvp.

/doh burn not surge, indeedy. I blame the supercharged mes boss with an insane FC-recharge-boosted Esurge which caught my party unawares for that typo!

Hmm, leaves me thinking.
16 illusion
13 fast casting
Web of disruption
Arcane conundrum
Ineptitude (E)
Clumsiness
Wandering eye
Signet of clumsiness
Mirror of disenchantment
Res
Useful to have an untyped interupt in Web and it recharges in 10 with high FC.
Arcane conundrum both serves to amputate casters and as e management.
Cover AC with the 3 following damage hexes and the signet, and watch the physicals blow themselves apart.
Mirror is just too good not to take along.

I'm rather enjoying the new Spiritual Pain. It's very cheap, quick to cast and has a good recharge rate. It's essentially the new E-Burn.
